NHS Bethlem Hospital and Museum of Mind

Year 13 Psychology and Sociology students visited this NHS facility to see how knowledge about diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders is implemented in real life settings.

The director of the Museum of Mind gave an introductory talk to our students, describing historical context of the facility (medieval soul asylum) and its modern context (NHS facility).

The students then visited several galleries where art work used in therapies is on display, in addition to general displays on treatments of mental disorders.
